Nova's Rambles

A lot happened, again. When doesn't it lol

But to summarize: I went to get my PC upgraded. I had to get a quote from the PC shop to get an estimate on the costs, and was able to prioritize some money along with a loan to cover costs. I'll be paying off this loan over the next few months, but honestly it's worth it to get new hardware installed to run the games I want to play.

Alas, there was ONE small hiccup through it all, and that was the fact they installed the wrong version of Windows 11. The activation key I had was for the pro version and they installed the home version. I had to ask a friend for some help with this and managed to get it resolved and am grateful for that, not being able to change to dark theme and add in your own custom background sucked.

I wish I could fully switch to Linux, but despite some of the distros appealing to me (Mint and even Ubuntu), it's still a new OS that I would need loads of time to learn, so I might stick with a Virtual Machine for the time being with that, then I can probably look into dual-booting until FINALLY deciding to make the full switch someday.

With all of this in mind, I am finally looking into streaming again, I'm starting small with once every two weeks on Wednesday, and playing Megaman Legends to test the waters, but I do plan to play other games later on like Hollow Knight (and Silksong lol), a Minecraft world that I would play on every two weeks, and maybe even Stray or Outer Wilds!

It's something I'm still fleshing out and some of these games I wouldn't stream immediately (Hollow Knight and Silksong I KNOW would take time since they are big games), but it's a start to do something finally which involve things I thoroughly enjoy.
